Just 15 miles North of downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles from Denton, this quaint hamlet offers small town living with close proximity to big city life. City Highlights

The city of Haslet prides itself in offering events and community gatherings for residents and visitors throughout the year. Whether it’s yoga in the park, tai chi at the community centre or the annual easter egg hunt, there are ways to get out all the time. Other events include, memorial day party, kids fire camp, movie in the park, haunted hayride and christmas tree lighting. 

There are two parks to be enjoyed in the city. John Gammill Park is the perfect space to enjoy the outdoors having a covered pavilion, fenced play area for the kids, picnic tables and public restrooms. There is also the Haslet Community Park which offers an 18 hole disc golf course, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, play structure and swings, covered pavilion, public restrooms and a walking trail. 

 

 The Best Haslet Neighborhoods

There is no shortage of subdivisions and neighborhoods that can meet all needs when it comes to Haslet, Texas. 

Ashmore Farms is a neighborhood of approximately 153 homes dating back to 1998. The median sale price of the homes is roughly $405,000. The houses sit on around a ½ acre of land and the community has a homeowners association, neighborhood gatherings, monthly newsletters and a book club. 

Emerald Park North is situated along highway 287. The houses in this area are mid size and date back to 2004. Sale prices fall around $225,000 and lot sizes are ¼ acre. 

The Meadow is a newer neighborhood, developing in 2007. Houses are large scale and boast ½ acre, mature lots. The price for homes in this area is approximately $567,500. Residents of this neighborhood enjoy the benefits of a homeowners association as well. 

Willow Ridge is a single family development by Pulte Homes. Quiet and safe, this neighborhood is reasonably priced from $200k to $400k plus. Those who live in this community have access to the pool and park. There is also Carl E. Schluter Elementary School in close proximity. Nearby Eagle Mountain Lake offers a nice relaxing day away. 

Spring Ranch is desirable for its easy access to Highway 287, Interstate 35, Highway 114 and Loop 820. This newly developed neighborhood is continuing to grow, originally started in 2017. Large, stately homes vary from roughly $310,000 - $550, 000 and have lot sizes of ½ acre. 

Sun Valley Estates feature mid sized homes built in the late 1990’s. The area has matured properties that are approximately an acre. Priced attractively in the high $300’s, this area is a desirable location for those in Haslet.

While small town living does come with so sacrifices, such as less access to amenities, Haslet makes up for it with its proximity to large cities such as Dallas and Fort Worth. Despite that fact there are still plenty of services that are available within Haslet as well.

School Guide

Haslet, Texas is part of the award winning Northwest Independent School District. There are 4 elementary schools, Haslet Elementary, Carl E. Schluter Elementary, Sendera Ranch Elementary, and J. C. Thompson Elementary, 2 middle schools, Leo Adams Middle School, and Truett Wilson Middle School and 1 high school, V. R. Eaton High School,  in the Haslet area that families can choose from to send their children to. The schools within the Northwest Independent School District were rated as “meeting” standards which is currently the highest rating available. 

There is also a couple of private school options in the Haslet area. Alliance Christian Academy and Heritage Christian Academy, which offers a education and christian values.

Haslet provides residents with quick and easy accessibility to surrounding larger cities. Conveniently located  along interstate 35, US highway 287 and Highway 114, commuters can easily jump on any one of these major roadway and get to their destination in now time.
